Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Director of Food & Nutrition Services for Methodist Hospital –Texsan who provides leadership in the planning, supporting and developing of department objectives and establishing procedures to meet those objectives. The position directs all purchasing, receiving, and preparation of food for patients, cafeteria, and special functions in a manner that effectively supports the business objectives of the Methodist Healthcare System. What You Will Do In Your Role:
Coordinates medical nutrition services and food production activities for multiple facilities.
Coordinates schedules with supervisors to ensure adequate staffing. Interviews, hires, counsels, and motivates employees.
Identifies as a resource on Food and Nutrition issues to management, employees, and the community.
Leads the on-going development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Food and Nutrition Services department.
Plans, implements, controls and reports on designated budget and manages changes in status.
Ensures that all Food and Nutrition policies, procedures and systems are correctly implemented, maintained and documented.
What qualifications you will need:
BS Degree in a related field from an accredited institution required.
10 years’ experience in a managerial role at a food service facility, hotel, university or hospital required.
Minimum License and Certificates Required:
- Food Protection Manager Certification preferred.
