Job summary:

We are seeking a Central Sterile Tech to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide surgical assistance including tray set up, and cleaning and maintenance of surgical instruments. You will also respond to special requests from surgery and all patient care floors in a timely and customer service-oriented manner. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

  • Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using detergents and disinfecting solutions.

  • Wrap, seal and accurately label items that are to be sterilized.

  • Sterilizes instruments, equipment, linen and related supplies using sterilizers.

  • Prepares surgical sets and instruments ensuring that all instrumentation is correct and accurate.

  • Ensures that all instrument cards are kept up to date and accurate.

  • Stores sterilized and prepared supplies and equipment in designated areas.

  • Informs bio-med of equipment no longer service able or other problems that arise.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required

  • Training as Surgical Technologist preferred

  • Certification in Sterile Processing required

  • Previous Surgical Technician experience preferred
