Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the leadership of the Director, the Manager ER , is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the Department. Functions in cooperation with the leadership team in developing plans, policies and procedures to efficiently and effectively meet the objective of providing quality care at Orange Park Medical Center. The Manager ER assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a twenty‑four (24) hour basis. The Manager ER is responsible for meeting CAP and JC standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment on the unit, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.
What qualifications you will need:
Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Current FL or Multistate Compact RN License (if multistate license, must change primary state of residence within 90 days)
BLS required
ACLS, PALS, & TNCC within 6 months of hire
ENPC & Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 1 year required
Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience and minimum 1 year of Charge Nurse experience required
