Job Summary and Qualifications

The OR/Scrub Tech collaborates with physicians and Registered Nurses to serve in a support role within the OR. Responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases. Proficient in surgical environment as a surgical assistant passing and assisting the physician during surgical cases. Able to create and maintain a sterile field, performing sponge, sharp and instrument counts accurately and initiating corrective action when counts are incorrect (following AORN guidelines).

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Vocational School Graduate

• High School Graduate / GED

• Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
