Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Operations, performs admission review functions and collaborates with nursing management/patient care team for the purpose of optimizing patient care and resource usage. All duties are performed in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

  • Supports the HCA Code of Conduct. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with organization mission and goals.

  • Ensures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to Safety Program and Infection Control Programs.

  • Supports hospital and departmental Performance Improvement Goals.

  • Demonstrates and promotes Medical Center of Fort Worth’s FISH philosophies

  • Contributes to the organization’s five indicators of success

  • Determines appropriateness of admission of in-patients and assigns patients to appropriate bed and level of care.

  • Accepts accountability and responsibility as a member of the Nursing Department and of the patient care team.

  • Functions effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member.

  • Promotes personal growth and professionalism in the work environment.

  • Performs additional job functions as assigned by the Manager of Patient Care Resources

What qualifications you will need:

  • Texas RN license or compact state license required.

  • BLS certification

  • Experience in acute care and utilization review; ability to communicate effectivity with other members of the healthcare team required.

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
