Job Summary and Qualifications

The Sleep Therapist is responsible for performing and planning sleep studies and evaluating outcomes of care. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct patient care, patient/family education, and provision and therapeutic treatments. In addition, the Sleep Technician provides clinical management, control, and diagnostic evaluation consistent with the prescribed treatment plan and the policies and procedures of the Sleep Diagnostic Center. Conducts oneself and assures staff use appropriate treatment to meet the needs of our customers in an efficient, productive manner and within the guidelines of their respective practice acts, professional associations, standards of practice, and code of ethics. The Sleep Therapist performs care consistent with the age specific and developmental needs of patients. Upholds the standards of the department and hospital by dealing with patients, visitors, associates, and other medical professionals in a respectful, courteous manner.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or CPSGT certification required

  • Previous experience in sleep diagnostics preferred
