Job Summary and Qualifications
The Supervisor, Operating Room ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of a specific shift or segment of operations. The Supervisor monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values, and creates an environment to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What You Will Do In Your Role:
You will help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care
You will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory standards
You will ensure equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards
You will participate in monitor and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met
You will assist with staff scheduling. Maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required
BSN preferred
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
3 years of clinical experience as a RN in an Operating Room setting
Current BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
