Job Summary and Qualifications
As a member of the Lift Team EMT at our facility you will be joining a hard-working, compassionate team of caregivers. We value every member of our team and consider ourselves a family. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
· You will provide lift services in direct support of the quality care experience for our patients.
· You may be asked to assist in maintenance of a safe, clean, and age appropriate environment under the direction and supervision of the nurse.
· You will assist in making sure that patient’s rooms are ready for new admits.
· You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
· You will handle various medical equipment including: oxygen tanks, IV Poles, Catheter Bags, etc.
· You will observe and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and security violations when found, including blocked ingress and egress and unauthorized persons.
Qualifications:
· EMT I or EMT II license in the State of Alaska
· One-year experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
